Senior Consultant- Java Application Developer with Core Banking

Job Summary
As a Senior Technical Consultant within the Banking Consulting Europe team, you will play a pivotal role in end-to-end development, implementation, and management of Oracle's next-generation banking products. Leveraging your technical acumen and consulting skills, you'll contribute to migrations, integrations, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery—partnering closely with Oracle teams and clients across Europe to deliver high-quality, outcome-focused solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
MandatoryBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
3–7 years of experience in development, implementation, or support of core banking applications; minimum 2 years in primary skill areas.
Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, JavaScript, XML; hands-on with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database (18c or 12c) a plus.
Experience with deployment and troubleshooting on Oracle WebLogic.
Familiarity with release management and source control tools.
Strong client interaction, communication, and documentation skills in English.
Demonstrated experience with FLEXCUBE or similar core banking products.
Willingness to work offshore and travel, and to work shifts as required by projects.
Good-to-Have
Exposure to the banking domain and understanding of banking terminology.
Experience with DevOps, testing tools, Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, and Oracle Fusion SOA Suite.
Awareness of latest banking technologies and trends.
Familiarity with software development processes, MS Office suite.
Team player with adaptability to high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Commitment to complete Oracle Banking/FLEXCUBE technical certifications as needed.

Can you describe your experience with the end-to-end development or implementation of banking or financial services applications, particularly FLEXCUBE or similar products?
Are you proficient in programming languages and technologies such as Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, JavaScript, XML, and Oracle SQL/PLSQL? Give examples.
Have you troubleshooted and deployed software on Oracle WebLogic or similar application servers? How did you ensure quality and reliability?
Are you comfortable working in dynamic, client-facing roles—coordinating with multiple teams and adapting to rotational shifts or travel as per project needs?

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Act as a senior technical team member in activities such as development, implementation, migration, integration, and managed services related to Oracle banking solutions.
Analyze business requirements; design and implement functional and technical solutions to meet client needs.
Develop, test, and document programs following Oracle/client specifications, standards, and quality expectations.
Troubleshoot and deploy applications on Oracle WebLogic and related environments; ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Collaborate with onsite/offshore teams and stakeholders; coordinate knowledge transfer and project handover.
Adhere to change control, audit, and compliance requirements in line with Oracle/client policies.
Drive process improvements, release management, and source control across assigned projects.
Prepare regular status reports; submit timesheets and expenses punctually.
