Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
• Conduct system design and simulations utilizing MATLAB, Simulink, and FEA tools to validate performance and durability.
• Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures or inefficiencies to identify corrective actions and improve system reliability.
• Create comprehensive schematics, technical drawings, and drafting documents adhering to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize processes, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly procedures.
• Apply ASME codes & standards in designing pressure vessels, piping systems, or other critical components.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW, Arduino, and system design principles for automation projects.
• Support project scheduling efforts by coordinating tasks across multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a strong background in mechanical design, CAD drafting, and system analysis.
• Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with mechanical engineering software such as SolidWorks, Creo, MATLAB, Simulink, FEA tools, and LabVIEW.
• Experience working with schematics, electrical integration (including Arduino), and control systems involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Understanding of industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on mechanical issues using systematic troubleshooting methods.
