Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Gastroenterologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions related to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. You will perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies, interpret findings, and provide both medical and procedural treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of GI conditions, including GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, ulcers, and colorectal cancer.

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:

• Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)

• Colonoscopy
• ERCP (if trained)

• Capsule endoscopy

• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle counselling.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as imaging and lab results.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Participate in call rotations and provide inpatient consults when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Educate patients about preventive care, including colorectal cancer screening.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in gastroenterology through continuing medical education (CME).
