Sr. Principal Systems Development Engineer, Memory Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Dell Technologies

Dell is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Development Engineer to serve as the Technical Leader for a high-performing system engineering team focused on the integration of alternative memory solutions.  The integration of critical features for these designs into HW/SW solutions represents a complex, exciting, and challenging area of growth in the Enterprise, Client, and Storage computing segments.

In this high-visibility position, you will provide technical and business direction for your team, partner with platform development and systems engineering teams globally, and facilitate the integration of key technologies via design activities both within your team and across the broader ISG engineering organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Subject matter expert on altnernative memory technology solutions
  • Complete life-cycle ownership of memory designs integrated into multiple enterprise-class server, storage, and networking products
  • Technical oversight of the memory systems engineering team working with all technical stakeholder teams extending to HW, SW/FW, Operating System Vendor (OSV), and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Solution Stacks

Essential Requirements:

  • x86 Server Architecture design understanding
  • Excellent engineering leadership skills and ability to work with and influence across global organization

The successful candidate will have the following portfolio of experience and talent:

  • BS EE or CE degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in memory, system design or architecture
  • 2+ years of experience in leading a technical team
  • Knowledge of HW/SW Storage-Class Memory Standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and produce deliverables in a timely and accurate manner
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional development teams
  • Disciplined, structured and logical approach to problem solving
  • Business relationship experience with technology suppliers
  • Persuasive communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
  • Exemplarily 'How' behaviors in pursuit of results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong professionalism and communication skills (both written and verbal)
