Job Description

Gather and analyse data from the Service Management tool and other existing databases working with structures and metadata to ensure consistency, security, and accessibility of reports to the business.

Analyse and interpret data to ensure a high level of accuracy, meeting all required deadlines for contractual and internal reporting metrics and measurements.

Prepare business reports, which include data on Service Management metrics and performance for internal and customer requirements.

Working with business stakeholders initiating and implementing continual improvement strategies to support business processes.

Play a strategic role in designing and developing reporting tools that are then deployed across NEC. Using SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, SSRS, Power BI to design and deploy systems and training employees on their use.

To ensure a high level of security, accuracy, and efficiency, the reporting analyst will test all reports created and meet or exceed quality standards documented by the Reporting Team Manager.

Qualifications

Essential

In depth experience working with databases and report visualisation technologies SQL/SSRS/SSIS and Power BI (Reports/Datasets/Dataflows).

Experience in the end-to-end delivery of developing and implementing reports from a design specification.

Data modelling capabilities, designing effective BI data models, managing database schemas and row level security.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including previous experience liaising with all levels of management

ITIL Foundation Accreditation

Reporting/Design Accreditation

SQL querying and creation of views/tables, functions, stored procedures in SQL server database

Power BI Premium workspace/features experience & In depth understanding of DAX and M-Query.

Experience/Understanding of building linked and computed entities.
