Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Umargam

Department: Technical Design

Reports To: Manager of Technical and Production

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop 2D and 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

● Participate in the design and development of products, components, or systems from concept to production.

● Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.

● Conduct design feasibility studies, tolerance analysis, and simulations as required.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation, including BOMs and technical specifications.

● Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation.

● Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, reduce cost, or simplify manufacturing.

● Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

● Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is mandatory.

● Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing methods.

● Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.

● Good problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

● Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

● 1–3 years of experience in a design engineering role.

● Experience working in [your industry – e.g., automotive, machinery, consumer products].

● Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation).

● Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.

Working Conditions:

● Office-based with regular interaction in design labs or manufacturing environments.

● Occasional travel to production facilities or supplier locations may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹35,000.00 per month
