Role Overview

The SAP MD/PLA (Master Data / Product Lifecycle Accounting) consultant is responsible for managing master data processes and supporting product lifecycle accounting within SAP systems. This role ensures data accuracy, compliance, and integration across business units, while optimizing processes related to product lifecycle and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master Data Management
  • Configure and implement SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) modules.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent master data across SAP systems.
  • Monitor and enforce data governance standards and compliance.
  • Support data migration and cleansing activities during implementations.
  • Product Lifecycle Accounting
  • Manage product lifecycle costing and profitability analysis in SAP.
  • Configure PLA functionalities for cost planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance and supply chain teams to ensure accurate lifecycle cost tracking.
  • Provide insights for decision-making through lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Integration & Support
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate MDG and PLA processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to master data and lifecycle accounting.
  • Develop documentation for configurations, processes, and workflows.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on MDG and PLA functionalities.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MDG and SAP PLA modules.
  • Understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and product lifecycle costing.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and integration techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP MDG and PLA implementations.
  • SAP certification in MDG or PLA is a plus.
