IH Expense Analyst (Shared Services)

Cigna are excited to introduce a newly created position within the International Health Expense Management team. As the IH Shared Services financial Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy across our IH Support Functions and UK Shared Services organisation. Reporting to the IH Shared Service Senior Analyst, you'll be at the heart of budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis—driving insights that influence strategic decisions across global teams.

This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is passionate about turning data into actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Build Financial Models: Design and maintain robust financial models to support strategic planning and decision making. Ensure accurate financial allocations modelling is provided.

Forecasting & Budgeting: Support the UK Shared service budgeting process throughout the forecast cycle. Collaborate with global controllers to provide consolidated budget/forecast for IH Support Functions Leadership Team.

Deliver Insightful Analysis: Track performance, analyse variances, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

Create Executive-Level Reports: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Functional Leaders and the IH Expense Senior Manager.

Audit: Support the UK expense team external audit, ensuring audit queries and deliverables are met on a timely basis by team members.

Month End: Deliver the UK expense team month end including accruals; pre-payments; capitalisation; monthly matrix & debit notes.

Partner Across Teams: Collaborate with cost centre owners and regional finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and effective forecasting.

Drive Cost Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies.

Support Leadership Presentations: Contribute to executive-level presentation materials.

Champion Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices and foster a culture of learning and innovation.

Adhoc: Support the IH Shared Services Senior Analyst and wider finance teams with ad-hoc reporting requests and project support.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Master's or professional certification like ACCA, CFA, CPA preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in excel
  • Excellence organisation skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
