Job Title: Accounts Executive

Department: Finance

Reports To: Head of Finance

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Transactions:
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Manage and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and budgets.
Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Provide support in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis and report on discrepancies.
Audit and Compliance:
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with the finance team and other departments to support financial operations.
  • Provide financial information and support to staff and management as needed.
  • Participate in financial planning and decision-making processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
