About the Role

We are seeking a senior Databricks Architect to lead the design and delivery of next-generation data platforms. This role requires deep technical authority in Databricks, Unity Catalog, and modern data engineering patterns, with the ability to define enterprise-scale architectures and drive end-to-end implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and optimize large-scale Databricks environments, enabling high-performance data engineering, governance, and analytics.
  • Lead the rollout and operationalization of Unity Catalog for secure, scalable data governance.
  • Define cloud-native data architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices across ingestion, processing, orchestration, and quality.
  • Guide engineering teams across solution design, development, performance tuning, and production readiness.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align architecture with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure platform reliability, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 14+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with at least 5+ years in Databricks.
  • Proven expertise in Databricks Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, cluster management, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
  • Strong command of Spark (PySpark/Scala), SQL, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and modern data ecosystem tools.
  • Relevant Databricks certifications or cloud data certifications strongly preferred.
