Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for cost control.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations throughout the construction phase.
Certify subcontractor bills, progress payments, and final accounts.
Analyze rates, negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
Provide cost advice and value engineering solutions to minimize expenses.
Prepare monthly financial and cost reports for management.
Support project planning, scheduling, and contract administration.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JCT, etc.).
Proficiency in estimation software (AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, Candy, or similar).
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good negotiation and communication abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capability.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
3–7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
Experience in infrastructure, buildings, or road projects preferred.
Professional certification (RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
