Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Data Science Trainer/Faculty to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, curriculum development, and mentorship in data science and related disciplines. You will play a key role in preparing students for careers in data science, analytics, artificial intelligence, and related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Training

  • Deliver lectures, workshops, and hands-on lab sessions in topics such as:

  • Python for Data Science

  • Statistics & Probability
  • Machine Learning & Deep Learning
  • Data Visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib)
  • Big Data Technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Databases and SQL
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • AI/ML Frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Create and maintain course materials including syllabus, lecture notes, assignments, and exams.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse student learning styles and levels.
  • Guide and mentor students on capstone projects, internships, and research work.

Curriculum & Content Development

  • Assist in designing and updating data science curricula aligned with current industry trends and academic standards.
  • Collaborate with academic and industry experts to ensure relevance and rigor in course content.

Student Engagement & Mentorship

  • Provide academic and career guidance to students.
  • Encourage and support student participation in hackathons, competitions, and research publications.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Administrative & Departmental Activities

  • Participate in faculty meetings, departmental planning, and accreditation processes.
  • Assist in student admissions, academic audits, and outreach activities if required.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Microsoft Data Science, Google ML, AWS ML, IBM Data Science) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum [2-5] years of teaching/training experience in data science or relevant domains.
  • Industry experience in a data-driven role (e.g., Data Scientist, Data Analyst, ML Engineer) is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and relevant data science libraries and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Demonstrated record of research/publications in data science or related areas.
  • Experience in curriculum development or instructional design.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative learning environment.
