Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and validate healthcare and clinical data from multiple sources (EHR, claims, clinical trials, registries, etc.)
  • Perform statistical analysis and develop data models to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Generate dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and population health studies.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy and security regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT and healthcare teams to design and optimize databases, data warehouses, and reporting systems.
  • Evaluate clinical and operational performance metrics (readmission rates, length of stay, utilization rates, etc.).
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for improving patient care and reducing costs.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data sets (EHR, HL7, ICD, CPT, claims data, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
  • Experience with statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS, Python).
  • Understanding of medical terminologies, healthcare compliance, and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare research, medical coding, or clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or predictive modeling in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of US/International healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Experience in population health analytics or outcomes research.
