As a growing team, we're building scalable infrastructure and systems to support our platform (for ourselves and our customers), and we are looking for a Fullstack Developer who can help make everything robust, automated, secure, and efficient.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior/Lead Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge SaaS product. You will go beyond manual testing to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks. Your expertise will be critical in integrating quality assurance directly into our CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and confident deployments.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position ideal for someone passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and mentoring fellow engineers

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development (60%)

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced, reusable, and scalable test automation frameworks from the ground up using Playwright (preferred), Selenium, and/or Appium.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code for automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services.
• Champion the adoption of best practices in test automation, including design patterns, code quality, and version control.
• Conduct proof-of-concepts for new tools and technologies to continuously evolve our test automation strategy.
• Manage and enhance the testing of our SaaS product, ensuring comprehensive coverage across its modules.
• Handle performance testing and present results for validating and analysis to Project Teams.

CI/CD Integration & Process Leadership (25%)

• Architect and manage the integration of automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to establish a true "shift-left" testing culture.
• Monitor and analyze test results from CI runs, troubleshoot failures, and provide rapid feedback to the development team.
• Optimize the test automation pipeline for speed, reliability, and efficiency.

Quality Advocacy & Mentorship (15%)

• Lead test planning and strategy discussions for new features and product releases.
• Prepare software defect tracking and report the entire project release status to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Software Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Participate in and contribute to agile/scrum ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.

· 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building Test Automation Frameworks.

· Proven expertise in at least one modern automation tool: Playwright (strongly preferred), Selenium WebDriver, or Cypress.

· Solid experience with mobile automation using Appium.

· Demonstrable experience in integrating and managing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

· Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript (highly desirable with Playwright), Java, Python, or C#.

· Possess good knowledge in creating test plans and test strategies.

· Experience in API testing using tools like REST Assured, Postman, or similar.

· Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the SDLC.

· Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

· Ability to gel and work in a team and assist junior team members on techno-functional grounds.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

What Will Make You Stand Out

· Experience in a SaaS-based product company.

· Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).

· Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

· Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

· ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or similar certification.
