Job description:

Rain Cements, a thirty-nine-year-old company headquartered in Hyderabad and known for manufacturing and marketing Priya Cement, is seeking an experienced Manager / Sr. Manager - Costing who is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost accounting and financial analysis related to production, operations, and services. This role ensures accurate cost allocation, supports budgeting and forecasting, and provides actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency

Role & Responsibilities

  • Analyze production costs, overheads, and cost trends.
  • Compare standard costs to actual costs and explain variances.
  • Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and cost standards.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analysis.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Present cost findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Work with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Support price negotiations and vendor cost evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits related to costing.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives.
  • Lead standardization and automation of costing processes

Preferred candidate profile

  • CA Qualified with Minimum 10 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with directing people from varied backgrounds or taking up leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Telugu and English.
