About the roleYou'll design, build, and productionise AI systems that generate instruction-aligned learning content. You'll work across prompt+model design, RAG, evaluation, and MLOps to ship reliable features at scale.What you'll doLLM application engineering: Architect prompt chains/agents for lesson plans, worked solutions, and assessment items; enforce board-specific rubrics and style.RAG pipelines: Build retrieval over curated corpora. Choose chunking/embeddings, implement re-ranking, and guardrails.Model integration: Integrate OpenAI APIs (GPT-4/5, o3, embeddings), and evaluate alternatives (Claude, Gemini, local models) where appropriate.AI evals & quality: Define automated evals, maintain golden sets, and ship dashboards.Tool orchestration: Call tools in-flowData & MLOps: Build ETL for content corpora; manage vector DBs; version prompts/datasets; automate CI/CD for AI workflows.Safety & compliance: Implement content safety filters, hallucination checks, plagiarism detection, and citation/attribution policies.Performance & cost: Profile latency/cost per output; caching, batching, distillation and prompt compression to keep unit economics healthy.Core tech we use (experience with several is great)LLMs & Frameworks: OpenAI API, LangChain / LlamaIndex, Guidance, DSPyRetrieval: FAISS / Chroma / pgvector / Elasticsearch + re-rankersPython stack: FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio; Jupyter for R&DData & MLOps: Weights & Biases / MLflow, Airflow/Prefect, Docker, GitHub ActionsStores/Infra: Postgres, S3/GCS, Redis; AWS/GCPRequired qualifications1–5 years in software/ML; at least 1–2 years building LLM-powered features in production.Strong Python; sound software engineering (testing, typing, reviews, CI/CD).Hands-on with prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector DBs.Experience designing automatic evals and offline/online A/B tests.Ability to turn ambiguous product goals into shipped systems with measurable quality.Nice-to-haveEducation domain exposureModel distillation, fine-tuning, LoRA/PEFT; safety/guardrail frameworks.Multimodal: OCR, image-understanding, diagram generation, TTS.Cost-aware optimisation (caching, adaptive routing, budget controls).What success looks like (first 90 days)Ship a RAG microservice with guardrails + eval dashboard for 1 portfolio.Reduce hallucinations and rubric violations by >40% on our golden set.Cut inference cost per lesson by ~25% via caching/batching/routing.CompensationCompetitive salary, remote-first flexibility.Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / TemporaryContract length: 12 monthsPay: ₹15, ₹50,000.00 per monthBenefits:Work from home
