Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Curriculum Development:
  • Deliver lectures, conduct workshops, and mentor students in 2D/3D Modeling, Storytelling, Compositing, Script Writing, Digital Film Editing, Sound Design, Web Design, and UI-UX for Animation.
  • Develop and update course content, ensuring alignment with industry trends.
  • Design hands-on projects, assignments, and assessments to enhance learning outcomes.
• Software & Technical Skills Instruction:
  • Teach and guide students in industry-standard tools such as:
    • Adobe Suite: Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Character Animator.
    • UI/UX & Web Tools: Figma, WordPress, HTML, CSS.
    • 3D & VFX: Blender (Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation).
• Research & Industry Engagement:
  • Conduct research in Animation, VFX, and emerging media technologies.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals and participate in projects, workshops, and seminars.
  • Guide students in live projects, internships, and industry collaborations.
  • Arrange Visits to relevant Industry / Animation Studios  
• Student Mentorship & Administration:
  • Provide academic guidance and career mentorship.
  • Supervise student projects, research, and thesis work.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum reviews, and institutional development initiatives.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

• Strong 2D/3D animation and storytelling abilities.
• Proficiency in digital compositing, film editing, and sound design.
• Expertise in UI/UX for Animation and Web Design.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Figma, WordPress, and front-end development tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Eligibility Norms for various positions:

Professor: 

Qualification & Experience: 

1. Ph.D. in Animation with First Class MFA/M.Des/Master's degree in Animation/VFX/Multimedia or a related field with 10 years of Teaching experience of which 3 years as Associate Professor OR
2. MFA/M.Des/Master's degree in Animation/VFX/Multimedia or a related field with min 10 years Teaching Experience 

Ideal candidate would be an eminent scholar with a doctoral degree actively engaged in research with 10 years of experience in teaching and /or research at the University/National level institutions including experience of guiding research in doctoral level, with outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization.

Associate Professor:

Qualification & Experience: 

1. Ph.D. in Animation with First Class in with 6 years as full time Assistant Professor experience OR
2. MFA/M.Des/Master's degree in Animation/VFX/Multimedia or a related field with min 15 years of Experience with min 8 years of Teaching Experience.

Ideal candidate would be an eminent scholar with a doctoral degree actively engaged in research with 6 years of experience in teaching and /or research at the University/National level institutions including experience of guiding research in doctoral level, with outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization.

Assistant Professor:

Qualification & Experience:

1. Ph.D. in Animation with 0-2 years as fulltime / part time faculty OR
2. First Class in MFA/M.Des/Master's degree in Animation/VFX/Multimedia or a related field with 6 years of experience with min 3 years of teaching OR
3. First Class in BFA/B.Des/Bachelor's degree in Animation/VFX/Multimedia/B.Sc/BA/B.Com or a related field with 10 years of experience with min 5 years of teaching OR
4. Minimum 2–5 years of teaching/research/industry experience in Animation, VFX, or related domains.

Ideal candidate would be an eminent scholar with a doctoral degree actively engaged in research with 2 years of experience in teaching and /or research at the University/National level institutions including experience of guiding research in doctoral level, with outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization.

Professor of Practice 

If the candidates with MFA/M. Des and are Design Practitioners from Industry with 20 years of service with Teaching experience as Visiting Faculty can apply for Professor of Practice.
