Job Profile : E-commerce Marketplace Reconciliation Executive

The E-commerce Marketplace Reconciliation Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reconciliation between the company and various online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, JioMart, Ajio, Myntra, etc. The role involves verifying payouts, charges, returns, commissions, and discrepancies to maintain accurate accounts and prevent revenue leakage.

Key Responsibilities1. Marketplace Reconciliation

  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly marketplace settlements.
  • Verify payouts received from marketplaces against system orders.
  • Check and validate commissions, fees, shipping charges, and penalties.
  • Match order-wise payments, returns, and cancellations across platforms.

2. Payment & Charge Verification

  • Identify discrepancies in payments, overcharges, or missing payouts.
  • Review marketplace reports such as payment statements, order reports, and return reports.
  • Track outstanding payments and coordinate correction claims.

3. Claims Management

  • File claims for wrong charges, missing payments, incorrect returns, or damaged product reimbursements.
  • Follow up with marketplace support teams until claim settlement.
  • Maintain proper documentation of submitted claims.

4. Returns & RTO Reconciliation

  • Verify customer returns and RTO orders.
  • Check physical returns vs. marketplace return reports.
  • Track return reasons, missing returns, or damaged returns.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate reconciliation records and MIS reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reconciliation summaries.
  • Share insights on revenue leakages and financial gaps.

6. Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Accounts, Warehouse, E-commerce Operations).
  • Communicate with marketplace seller support for disputes and claims resolution.
  • Assist auditors with reconciliation-related data.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of marketplace portals (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc.).
  • Good understanding of reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, HLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with large data sets.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in e-commerce reconciliation or accounts (preferred).
  • Fresher with strong analytical skills may also apply.
