Slingshot Games is looking for an Experience Designer to join our team designing web and commerce features for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a top grossing mobile game and the most successful Star Wars game ever released.

At Slingshot Games, we create excellent player experiences on mobile. You'll create user interfaces that influence every level of the product, and you'll be an advocate for the player experience. You'll collaborate across multiple disciplines and apply your creativity to new features and functionality for our direct-to-consumer offerings.

You will report to the Design Director.

What You'll Do

• Build relationships with artists, game designers, development directors, and producers to set design priorities and find balanced solutions for player, business and technical goals.
• Work closely with product managers and front-end developers to ideate on, design, and develop new formats for digital offerings and new ways for players to engage with our web store.
• Design and refine concepts, wireframes, and prototypes for both desktop and mobile breakpoints; set clear experiential goals and use research along with team feedback to reach the best result.
• Maintain and extend the design system for our web store in Figma.
• Advocate for design excellence, craftsmanship, accessibility, and usability.

What You'll Need

• High level of expertise with Figma, particularly in working with design systems and following established best practices.
• 5+ years of experience designing for web platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of web standards and design principles.
• Proficiency working with, enhancing, and extending existing design systems.
• A portfolio of shipped web products displaying capability across the entire design pipeline.
• An ability to build a comprehensive understanding of the game and its economies, as well as our existing storefront structures and formats.

Pluses

• Familiarity with motion graphics tools, such as After Effects, to create motion targets for UI celebrations and transitions.
• Experience designing mobile games.
• Front end development capabilities.
