Weighbridge Operator – Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge to weigh all incoming and outgoing vehicles accurately, ensuring correct tare and gross weight entry.
• Maintain daily weighment registers, logs, and digital records, ensuring all entries match vehicle numbers, material type, supplier/client, and documents.
• Verify vehicle details, driver information, challans/waybills, and check for overloading, material mismatch, or incorrect entries.
• Coordinate with security, logistics, operations, and store teams, and report any discrepancies or unusual weighments to supervisors.
• Operate weighing software, printers, and computer systems; ensure the weighbridge platform is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
• Follow company policies and SOPs, maintain accuracy and integrity in weighment, and avoid any manipulation or malpractice.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow around the weighbridge, guide drivers safely, and follow all safety protocols.
• Handle cash collection and billing (if applicable), maintain receipts, and reconcile daily cash reports.
• Regularly update software entries, backup data, and monitor calibration, system timing, and equipment connectivity.
• Provide clear communication and customer support to drivers, transporters, and contractors, resolving basic queries.

Experience: - 0-3 years
