We're hiring for Finance Director , Indian Subsidiary

Educational Qualification: Masters Degree(Finance) or CA/CMA

Location of the job

  • Based at Chennai, India
  • Manufacturing Location office

Reporting

Functional reporting and collaboration with Group Asia Pacific Finance Controller

Preferred candidate profile

Well experienced in collaborating effectively in multi-national, cross functional environment. Proven experience of 20+ years of which at least 5 years heading finance management at organisational level.

NOTE: Candidate must have experience in MNC and manufacturing industry.

Key responsibilities :

A diverse set of responsibilities as below, within a matrix organisation and involves a combination of strategic, operational, and compliance-related responsibilities.

Strategic Responsibilities

  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  2. Co-ordinate the budgeting process, ensuring accurate and realistic financial forecasts.

  3. Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

  4. Financial Planning:

  5. Implement and monitor local financial planning aligned with the group corporate strategy

  6. Collaborate with global and regional management to formulate business plans.

Operational Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting:

  2. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards.

  3. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and presentations for regional and global stakeholders.

  4. Cost Management:

  5. Implement cost control measures to optimize the company's operational efficiency.

  6. Monitor and manage expenses to achieve financial targets.

  7. Cash Flow Management:

  8. Oversee cash flow planning and ensure adequate liquidity for operations in alignment with group treasury.

  9. Regular monitoring and control over DSO and DPO for effective working capital management
  10. Manage relationships with regional office with Banks with which corporate agreement is in place

Compliance and Governance

  1. Regulatory Compliance:

  2. Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

  3. Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.

  4. Internal Controls:

  5. Ensure and continuously improve, robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.

  6. Conduct periodic internal reviews and audits to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

  7. Risk Management:

  8. Identify financial, compliance, statutory and legal risks related to the companys operations in India, report and implement mitigation actions as per Group Corporate guidelines.

Matrix Reporting Responsibilities

  1. Coordination with Global and Regional Teams:

  2. Act as the co-ordinating point between the Indian subsidiary and the regional and global finance team.

  3. Ensure alignment of local financial practices with global policies and procedures. Leadership and Team Management

  4. Team Development:

  5. Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional competence.

  6. Stakeholder Management:

  7. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, statutory, legal, and regulatory authorities.

  8. Represent the company in financial discussions with external partners.
