Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for Data Annotation Specialist. A Data Annotation Specialist will support the development of advanced machine learning algorithms for automotive LIDAR and RADAR applications. The role involves accurately labeling and annotating sensor data, ensuring high-quality datasets for training and validation. The specialist will work closely with engineering teams to understand annotation requirements, maintain consistency, and follow defined guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing and validating annotated data, identifying errors or ambiguities, and contributing to continuous improvement of annotation processes and tools. Attention to detail, ability to handle large volumes of data, and a commitment to precision are essential for success in this role.

Educational Qualifications

BE/BTech in any stream.

Experience Range- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Mandatory Technical Skillset

  • Ability to label and annotate datasets (images, video, sensor data).
  • Experience in Data Labeling or Annotation for vehicle LIDAR or RADAR
  • Hands-on experience with data labelling tools (e.g., CVAT, Scale AI, LabelBox etc.)

Good to have Technical Skills

  • Analytical skills to identify and resolve annotation challenges.
  • Maintaining clear records of processes and guidelines.
  • Exposure to automotive or manufacturing datasets.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Annotate and label datasets (images, video, and sensor data) with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform quality checks to validate labelled data and ensure compliance with project guidelines.
  • Use data labelling tools/software efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to meet annotation requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain documentation of labelling processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify and resolve basic annotation issues while supporting process improvements.
  • Be a team player and work well with a diverse team which may be spread all over the world through strong and clear communication.
  • Research on how to implement various requirements and make informed decisions in a timely manner.
  • Take active part in weekly review meetings and put forth ideas or solutions to problems.
