Quality Test Engineer II

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This position in Quality Assurance is responsible for enhancing QA methodology and ensuring compliance by working with management to improve quality and process standards that result in on-time and efficient delivery of systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in Automation Tester
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Moderate knowledge of QA methodologies.
• Knowledge of process improvement.
• Knowledge of the software development process.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of QA testing methodologies.
• Verbal skills — ability to communicate with both technical and nontechnical customers.
• Written skills/documentation.
• Basic project management skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Basic oral and written communication.
• Strong experience in J2SE, Good/Sound experience in J2EE portion or Python (Must have)
• Strong in object-oriented design principles and functional programming. (Must have)
• Strong experience in Automation Testing using Selenium Webdriver using Java. (Must have)
• Hands on experience in Performance Testing using Jmeter.
• Strong experience in API Testing (Postman/REST). (Must have)
• Solid knowledge of Relational Databases like MySQL, MS SQL Server with complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedure, Triggers. (MongoDB good to have)
• Knowledge of versioning tools like GIT and Good to have AWS Devops.
• Knowledge of creating the projects from scratch using multiple frameworks like Testng,DDF, Page Object, Cucumber Framework (BDD). (Must have in any one frameworks)
• Experience in using build tools like Maven.
• Good oral and written communications skills 
• Experience working in an Agile environment, applying Agile concepts and practices such as Refactoring / Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing (TDD, BDD) and Continuous Delivery.
• Good to have someone Responsible for creating test plans and Test Strategy.
• Good to have someone who reviews and re-evaluates the test strategy to adjust for new information, changing risks, shifting priorities, and schedules.
• Understanding of industry trends.
• Strong research skills (tools/root cause analysis).

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Participate in process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification, enabling flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business.
• Participate in project reviews.
• Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
• Maintain framework for record retention in order to support internal and external IT audits.
• Assist with process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on a timely basis.
• Work across teams to enhance quality functional testing by identifying and helping to implement initiatives that will improve capability and efficiency.
• All other duties as assigned.
