Junior Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Collect and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Analyze project risks, constraints, and cost factors.
• Prepare tender submissions, cost sheets, rate analysis, and pricing documents.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams for technical and commercial clarifications.
• Maintain updated cost databases, material price lists, and vendor information.
• Support negotiations with suppliers and contractors where required.
• Monitor ongoing project costs and provide cost variance inputs when necessary.
• Ensure timely delivery of estimates and adhere to bidding deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil.
• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, manufacturing, or engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of estimation techniques, rate analysis, and BOQ preparation.
• Proficiency in estimation software, MS Excel, and AutoCAD (optional but preferred).
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in tendering for government/PSU projects (if applicable).
• Familiarity with market rates and vendor networks.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Good negotiation and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
