Polishing Operator

The Polishing Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining marble polishing machines to ensure high-quality finishing of marble slabs, tiles, and other stone products. The role involves attention to detail, knowledge of polishing techniques, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate marble polishing machines (manual or automatic) to achieve smooth and glossy finishes.
• Inspect marble surfaces for cracks, chips, or defects before and after polishing.
• Select and apply appropriate polishing abrasives, pads, and chemicals based on the type of marble and finish required.
• Monitor machine settings, pressure, and speed to ensure consistent output quality.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of polishing equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and movement of marble slabs/tiles to avoid damage.
• Work closely with the quality control team to meet client specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Record daily production output and report any machine malfunctions or irregularities

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of marble polishing techniques (manual & machine-based).
• Ability to identify defects and imperfections in marble.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for machine operation and maintenance.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and long working hours.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
