The Team & Role
We are seeking a Technical Architect to join our Global Delivery Centre in India, based in either Chennai or Bangalore (with a hybrid setup of 3 days per week in the office).
As a Technical Architect (TA), you will play a pivotal role in bridging complex business needs with world-class technical solutions. Working closely with solution architects and enterprise customers, you will be responsible for transforming requirements into scalable, optimal designs and technical flows.
This role demands more than just coding skills—it requires the ability to strategize, problem-solve, and architect solutions that ensure successful adoption of Zuora's industry-leading products. Your deep technical expertise, structured thinking, and ability to collaborate across diverse teams will directly influence enterprise success.
You will engage regularly with solution architects, senior executives from global enterprises, product engineers, and cross-functional teams across geographies. A successful TA not only leverages strong technical knowledge but also demonstrates exceptional communication and leadership skills, enabling business-critical solutions to be delivered with precision and impact.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Build deep expertise in Zuora's subscription business model and product suite, becoming a trusted advisor to customers.
- Translate business needs into robust data/object models, process flows, and architecture diagrams that drive scalability.
- Develop and customize beyond out-of-the-box features, creating tailored solutions that deliver measurable customer impact.
- Collaborate with cross-regional teams to broaden your scope and influence across diverse industries and geographies.
- Provide customers with expert guidance on Zuora products, APIs, integration strategies, and industry best practices.
- Author high-quality technical documentation, checklists, and runbooks, ensuring clarity, consistency, and customer sign-off.
- Implement architectural best practices, ensuring customer requirements are translated into efficient and future-ready solutions.
- Lead customers through UATs, production deployments, and post-go-live transitions to ensure smooth adoption and business continuity.
- Work across a broad technical spectrum including workflows, data migration, Zuora CPQ, Zuora 360, and Salesforce.
- Support customers with ongoing functional and technical queries through scheduled touchpoints.
- Partner directly with Zuora Product Engineers to deliver real-world customer solutions and provide feedback that shapes product evolution.
- Learn, collaborate, and grow alongside some of the most experienced consultants and architects.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Experience: 10+ years of technical experience, including at least 3–5 years in consulting or professional services roles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering
- Technical: Proficiency in one or more programming languages - Java, JavaScript, Python, Salesforce APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, with strong grounding in object-oriented frameworks.
- API Expertise: Ability to review, design, and implement API-based integrations, including troubleshooting and optimization.
- Architectural Thinking: Strong ability to analyze requirements and implement solutions that deliver seamless, customer-centric experiences.
- Product Knowledge: Understanding of Zuora's product suite and subscription management ecosystem (preferred but not mandatory).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both business and technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: A strong team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, thriving in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
- Delivery Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently driving customer success.
