talented Menswear Designer
with a specialization in
dress shirts & T-Shirts
to join our growing design team. This role will focus on creating seasonal assortments that balance classic menswear aesthetics with contemporary updates, ensuring every piece reflects our brand standards and resonates with today's market.

Key Responsibilities
Trend Research & Concept Development

• Conduct research on silhouettes, fabrics, trims, and finishes within men's shirting and T-Shirts.
• Develop seasonal concepts and cohesive collections aligned with Gikaya's brand identity and business objectives.
• Produce detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs to communicate design intent effectively.
• Balance creativity with commercial viability in the woven shirt category.

Product Development & Execution

• Lead the design process from concept through final sample, ensuring quality, fit, and timelines are met
• .Collaborate with technical design and production teams to refine patterns, construction, and fabric finishes
• .Source and develop fabrics, trims, and innovative finishes to elevate the product
• .Ensure designs meet costing and margin requirements without compromising creativity

Partner with merchandising, sales, and sourcing to align assortments with consumer needs and business goal

Skills & Qualificatio**

• ns

2+ years of experience in menswear design, with proven expertise in woven/Knitted dress shirts & T-shir
- ts.Strong technical knowledge of shirting construction, pattern-making, fabric behavior, and finishi
- ng.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD too
- ls.Strong ability to analyze trends and translate them into commercially successful desig
- ns.Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environme
