Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced
L2 Storage Engineer (Hitachi)
to provide operational support, monitoring, and maintenance of storage infrastructure for our client, the
National Stock Exchange (NSE)
. The candidate will ensure smooth functioning of Hitachi storage systems, assist in incident resolution, and support ongoing capacity and performance management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day administration of
    Hitachi storage systems
    , ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Support L3 teams in implementing changes, upgrades, and configurations.
  • Monitor storage environments for capacity, performance, and hardware health.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve
    L1/L2 storage issues
    within defined SLAs.
  • Execute provisioning, zoning, and allocation tasks in SAN/NAS environments.
  • Maintain storage documentation, inventory, and change logs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data migration, backup, and recovery activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum
    5 years
    of experience in storage administration, preferably with
    Hitachi VSP or HNAS systems
    .
  • Hands-on knowledge of
    SAN/NAS management
    , LUN provisioning, and replication.
  • Experience with
    Hitachi Command Suite
    , zoning, and switch configuration.
  • Basic understanding of
    backup integration
    and disaster recovery processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and system monitoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Hitachi Qualified Professional (HQP)
    or equivalent vendor certification.

  • Hitachi Storage Architect
