Accounting & GST Manager

Location: Delhi

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (depending on merit)

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & GST Manager with strong expertise in Goods and Services Tax compliance, as well as a sound understanding of accounting and book-keeping practices. The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end GST compliance while maintaining accurate financial records, reconciliations, and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely book-keeping and check that it aligns with accounting vouchers.
  • Perform reconciliation of ledgers, bank accounts, and other balances.
  • Check inventory and non-inventory accounting entries and ensure correctness.
  • Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries in the formats prescribed by clients or management.
  • Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B on a monthly basis.
  • Reconcile GSTR-2B with books of accounts and resolve mismatches.
  • Prepare and file GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C (Annual Returns and Reconciliation Statements).
  • Handle GST refunds, including application and documentation.
  • Manage GST registration, amendment, and surrender of GSTIN.
  • Draft and file appeals as and when required.
  • Maintain communication and follow-ups with GST officers and departmental authorities.
  • Ensure end-to-end GST compliance in coordination with internal teams.
  • Assist in audits and support internal financial reviews.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with GST filings and accounting in a CA firm.
  • Proficient in Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of inventory and non-inventory accounting in Tally Prime.
  • Thorough expertise in GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, ledger management, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Independent, reliable, and capable of managing both accounting and GST operations end-to-end.
  • Prior experience dealing directly with GST department officers will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work accurately under deadlines and maintain precision in reporting.
