We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Query Specialist to manage, maintain, and optimize database queries across our organization. The role involves writing, testing, and troubleshooting SQL queries, ensuring data integrity, and supporting cross-functional teams with accurate data extraction and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in SQL and relational databases, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple databases for reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize slow-running queries.
  • Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Assist in database migration, upgrades, and integration projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation for queries, reports, and database procedures.
  • Provide ad-hoc query and reporting support for business teams.
  • Monitor database performance and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server).
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design and normalization.
  • Hands-on experience with query optimization and indexing techniques.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and reporting tools.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
