Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium and Appium to join our dynamic QA team with 2+ years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software applications across various platforms. The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with the development and QA teams to enhance and maintain our test automation framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Appium for web and mobile applications.
  • Implement automation scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing.
  • Test Framework Development:
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of the automated testing framework.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to establish best practices for test automation.
  • Cross-Browser and Cross-Platform Testing:
  • Ensure the compatibility of applications across different browsers and platforms using Selenium Grid and Appium.
  • Integration Testing:
  • Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
  • Defect Reporting:
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system.
  • Provide detailed information to assist developers in reproducing and resolving issues.
  • Performance Testing:
  • Develop and execute performance and load tests using Selenium, JMeter, or other relevant tools.
  • Analyze and report performance test results, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test documentation.
  • Report test progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in automated testing using Selenium and Appium.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of mobile application testing for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Familiarity with testing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) using tools like Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
  • Certification in Selenium or Appium is a plus.
