We are seeking a passionate Application Engineer specializing in Metal Additive Manufacturing, with a focus on wire and powder-based Directed Energy Deposition (DED), to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

1. Application Development:

• Develop and optimize metal additive manufacturing processes especially wire or powder based directed energy deposition (DED) to meet customer needs and industry standards.
• Prior knowledge of various directed energy deposition based additive manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate and improve existing application performance.
• Ready to work in different shifts to complete the critical projects

2. Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to customers during the implementation and integration of metal additive manufacturing solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges related to the application of metal additive manufacturing processes.

3. Training and Documentation:

• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on the operation and maintenance of metal additive manufacturing systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.

4. Collaboration with R&D:

• Work closely with the Research and Development (R&D) team to contribute insights from customer applications to inform product development.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to metal additive manufacturing.

5. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the quality and consistency of metal additive manufacturing processes, making recommendations for improvements when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Additive Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with 3-4 years of experience in application engineering focused on metal additive manufacturing.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 4-6 years of experience in metal additive manufacturing or related fields (e.g., CNC machining or hybrid manufacturing).
• Internships or academic projects in additive manufacturing are considered for entry-level experience.

Desirable skills:

• Consistently outstanding academic performance from prestigious institutions throughout the candidate's educational journey.
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, etc) for designing parts and creating toolpaths for DED processes.
• Proficiency in CAM software for generating machine instructions (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, etc).
• In-depth knowledge of various metal additive manufacturing technologies, processes, and materials.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.
