Role Overview

Rockpecker is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager – NPD to lead and coordinate new product development initiatives. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in manufacturing or the oil & gas sector, with strong project management skills and the ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver quality products on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to launch.
  • Collaborate with design, production, quality, procurement, and testing teams for project execution.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Drive technical reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and ensure timely closures of action items.
  • Coordinate prototyping, validation, and testing activities.
  • Ensure all design changes, ECNs, and documentation are accurately updated.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
  • Support cost estimation, BOM finalization, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal manufacturing processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and maintain strong communication channels.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical Graduate (B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or relevant engineering discipline).
  • 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing industry or oil & gas sector (mandatory).
  • Proven exposure to NPD, product engineering, or project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production workflows.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of CAD drawings, technical documentation, and engineering standards.
  • Good hands-on experience with MS Office, project planning tools, and documentation.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
