Contract Analyst

Overview:

These professionals specialize in reviewing and analyzing legal agreements such as Master Services Agreements (MSAs), entering relevant information into databases or systems, and ensuring contract accuracy. They interpret contract terms and provisions, spot potential issues or risks, and liaise with internal stakeholders (legal, sales, product, finance) to clarify or negotiate terms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and manage the contract lifecycle end-to-end, with strong exposure to contract analysis, revenue recognition, and risk management.
• Analyse legal documents (Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Due Diligence Contracts, NDAs, Data Privacy Agreements), extracting obligations, financial & legal terms.
• Interpret complex contractual clauses, identify requirements, obligations, risk, and ensure all key legal and financial information is captured accurately.
• Synthesize scattered contract details to provide actionable insights for sales, risk compliance, revenue assurance, customer service etc.
• Deliver accurate, clean data within deadlines; maintain high quality and consistency.
• Mentor junior team members; conduct legal audits; collaborate with product, legal, finance, and customer service teams for alignment.
• Manage contract renewals and terminations; respond to customer requests related to contract changes or clarifications in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• LL.B. (Hons.), Business Law specialization preferred.
• At least 2 years' experience in contract lifecycle management / contract review / contract analysis.
• Strong understanding of legal and financial implications of contractual terms.
• Excellent attention to detail, high quality standards and ability to work under stringent timelines.
• Desirable: proficiency in MS Excel, experience with Salesforce or other contract management tools.
