Job Description:

The role will entail designing C&I solutions for the brown field projects. Day-to-day activities may include the following:


• Refurbishment, Modifications and technologies enhancement of existing C&I SSCs in operating stations


• Plant islanding/lay-up engineering. I&C Systems integration/design and analysis for balance of plant systems


• Carry out optioneering of brown field projects to identify various options to arrive at the appropriate design solution.


• Develop, analyze and assess control system conceptual designs including system structure and control algorithms to meet design and regulatory requirements, and standards.


• Conceptual design and feasibility studies for C&I systems.
• Requirement's identification and technical specifications.

Preliminary and detailed design of the selected concept.


• Preparation of testing, maintenance and commissioning strategy and reports.


• Delivery of technical solution to brown field projects


• Participation in independent design reviews and verification activities to ensure high quality standards are met.


• Operational design support, troubleshooting and providing solutions to plant issues

Requirements:
• Relevant degree in instrumentation, electronics, or control engineering.


• Experience in design and implementation of engineering changes/system upgrades in brown field projects.


• Good working knowledge of industry standards, design and installation codes of practice and regulations.


• Working knowledge of field instrumentation, cabling systems and control systems.


• Ability to work independently or as part of team, flexible attitude to the type of work and the level of responsibility accepted.


• An understanding of commercial and client management principles.


• Ability to understand and define client's requirements, plan and schedule deliverables and timelines.
• Proven strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to write accurate, detailed and concise technical reports to a good quality standard

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio desirable.
• Experience in or knowledge of secondary cycle and balance of a power plant is desirable.


• Capable of solving complex engineering problems and implementing new ideas which improves efficiency.
• Experience or exposure to project management principles is desirable.


• Knowledge of life extension studies, testing and inspection requirements of EC&I
