Job Title: Senior Manual Tester – Insurance Domain

Location: Noida (Hybrid)

Experience: 5+ years

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manual Tester with a strong background in the insurance domain and hands-on experience in API testing, Postman, and Datadog. The ideal candidate brings a developer mindset, understands business workflows, and ensures high-quality product delivery through meticulous testing and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for insurance-related applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple systems.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman to validate request/response structures, payloads, and error handling.
  • Use Datadog for monitoring application performance, logs, and issue tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and product owners to understand business requirements and edge cases.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to test documentation — including test plans, cases, and reports.
  • Apply a developer mindset to identify potential root causes of issues proactively.
  • Support UAT and production validation when needed.

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in manual testing
  • Strong understanding of insurance domain processes (policy, claims, underwriting, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman
  • Exposure to Datadog for monitoring and debugging
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries for backend data validation
  • Experience in automation or willingness to upskill
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Exposure to performance testing or security testing concepts
