Job Title: Teamcenter Developer

Job Description

A Teamcenter Developer is responsible for the development, customization, and enhancement of the Siemens Teamcenter PLM software to align with organizational needs. The developer collaborates with architects, administrators, and business stakeholders to implement robust solutions, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and usability. This role requires hands-on coding, troubleshooting, and implementing new features while adhering to best practices and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop custom solutions in Teamcenter to meet business requirements.
  2. Implement and enhance BMIDE configurations, including custom properties, business rules, and templates.
  3. Develop and customize workflows, handlers, and triggers using Workflow Designer.
  4. Customize and extend Teamcenter using ITK, RAC, SOA, and TCXML.
  5. Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems, including ERP, CAD, and MES tools, using T4x or other middleware.
  6. Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards.
  7. Debug, test, and troubleshoot issues in customizations, integrations, and configurations.
  8. Perform performance tuning for Teamcenter solutions to enhance system efficiency.
  9. Maintain and manage source code repositories using tools like Git or SVN.
  10. Assist in the implementation of new Teamcenter modules or updates.
  11. Participate in data migration tasks, including script development and testing for legacy data import/export.
  12. Provide technical support during testing, deployment, and post-deployment phases.
  13. Work closely with Teamcenter Architects, Administrators, and business analysts to gather and understand requirements.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Teamcenter with other enterprise systems.
  15. Document technical designs, code changes, and user guides for future reference.
  16. Stay updated on the latest Teamcenter technologies, tools, and enhancements.
  17. Research and suggest new tools, technologies, or methods to improve development efficiency and solution quality.
  18. Implement best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Required Skills

  1. Strong proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter development, including:

I. Active Workspace customization and Configuration.

II. ITK (Integration Toolkit) for server-side customization.

III. RAC (Rich Application Client) customization using Java and Eclipse.

IV. SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) for web services and integrations.

V. BMIDE (Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment) for business object and data model configurations.

  1. Strong understanding of PLM concepts such as BOM management, change management, Classification, Stylesheet, Query Builder, PLMXML and access control.

  2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  3. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and adapt to agile methodologies.

  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  5. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  1. 5 - 7 years of experience in Teamcenter development and customization.

  2. Prior involvement in end-to-end Teamcenter implementation projects is preferred.

Good to have Skills:

  1. Experience in CAD integrations (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, CATIA) with Teamcenter.

  2. Knowledge of database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and writing optimized queries.

  3. Familiarity with integration tools like T4x (Teamcenter Gateway) or APIs for ERP connections.
