Job Description: CBSE High School Mathematics Teacher Position Summary

The CBSE High School Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics instruction to students of Classes 6–10 in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong conceptual understanding while maintaining a supportive and disciplined learning environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Planning & Instruction

• Deliver lessons as per the CBSE curriculum for Classes 9–12 (including senior secondary levels).
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with NCERT/CBSE guidelines.
• Teach Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, and other senior secondary topics.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies—lectures, demonstrations, real-life applications, and technology-assisted learning.

2. Classroom Management

• Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Implement effective behavior-management techniques and ensure discipline.
• Monitor individual and group progress and provide timely feedback.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

• Design, conduct, and evaluate formative and summative assessments.
• Prepare question papers, assignments, and practice worksheets following CBSE pattern.
• Maintain accurate records of students' performance and prepare report cards.

4. Student Support

• Provide remedial classes, doubt-clearing sessions, and academic guidance.
• Identify learning difficulties and offer personalized support.
• Encourage students to participate in math competitions and Olympiads.

5. Professional Responsibilities

• Attend parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and CBSE training programs.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, and academic committees.
• Stay updated with CBSE notifications, curriculum changes, and best teaching practices.

6. Administrative Tasks

• Maintain lesson plans, records, and documentation as required by the school.
• Support examination duties and other academic responsibilities assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications & Requirements Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (B.Sc. / B.A. Mathematics).
• B.Ed. with specialization in Mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and NCERT textbooks.

Preferred:

• Master's degree (M.Sc. Mathematics).
• Prior teaching experience at CBSE high school level.
• Familiarity with digital teaching tools (smart board, LMS, online platforms).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
