Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (or AFP) to join our financial planning team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in financial advisory, wealth management, and tax-efficient planning, combined with the ability to deliver personalised financial strategies for clients.

This role involves comprehensive client financial analysis, portfolio planning, and development of holistic solutions covering investments, tax, retirement, and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored financial plans for clients, aligning investment, tax, and estate objectives with long-term goals
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of client portfolios, identifying gaps and recommending actionable strategies
  • Prepare and present financial planning reports, proposals, and projections based on client data
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies
  • Collaborate with internal teams (investment, tax, estate planning) to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients through periodic reviews, ensuring evolving goals and circumstances are addressed
  • Stay updated on market trends, tax law changes, and global financial planning best practices
  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in line with FPSB and firm guidelines

Qualifications & Other Requirements:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification (FPSB or equivalent) mandatory
  • AFP certification can also apply
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or investment advisory
  • Strong understanding of financial products: investments, retirement instruments, insurance, and tax wrappers
  • Experience of working with UK (or other European countries) and understanding of country specific tax policies
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and cashflow modelling tools (e.g., Voyant, Cashcalc)
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle client relationships with professionalism and discretion
