  • Data Migration Expert

Requirement

  • 7+ years of experience in data migration, storage management, or infrastructure transition roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and on-premise to cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and document the current data storage and backup policies and procedures, including user data, email, shared data, and data hosted on both cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Assess existing data protection, retention, and recovery mechanisms and recommend improvements aligned with enterprise and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate various data migration methodologies (on-premise to cloud, cloud-to-cloud, email, and mailbox data) and define the most suitable approach for the integration project.
  • Plan and execute data and mailbox migration activities ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Oversee server infrastructure and data migration tasks, ensuring compatibility with the target architecture and infrastructure standards.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to align migration activities with overall integration timelines.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in migration activities and develop mitigation and rollback plans.
  • Develop detailed migration documentation, including data maps, validation reports, and post-migration verification checklists.
  • Ensure all data migration processes adhere to security, compliance, and privacy policies.
  • Provide post-migration support and assist in stabilizing the new environment.

Work Details:

  • Shift: Day Shift (Monday to Friday). In rare cases, the candidate may need to work on weekends.
  • Duration: 8 months (contractual basis).
