Role & responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for SAP applications, including incident management, problem resolution, and system monitoring.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for SAP application-related issues and coordinate with SAP Basis, development, and functional teams for issue resolution.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP application issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor SAP system performance and proactively identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Implement and support SAP patches, upgrades, and transports in coordination with technical teams.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide SAP solutions or enhancements.
  • Document support activities, resolutions, and best practices to improve knowledge base and team efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Support testing and validation of SAP functionalities after upgrades or changes.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in SAP application support processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and ITIL best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in SAP Application Support, preferably in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, WM, or relevant areas.
  • Deep understanding of SAP system architecture, processes, and integration points.
  • Experience with SAP incident management tools like SolMan or ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of SAP transport management and change request processes.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical teams and business users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • ITIL certification or experience working in ITIL environments is preferred.
