Power BI Developer

We are looking for a Power BI Developer with a strong grasp of end-to-end BI development specifically, someone who can build modern dashboards, manage backend integrations (e.g., ADF, Snowflake), and implement robust security and automation features in Power BI.

This role combines hands-on Power BI development, data engineering, and business analysis to deliver scalable, secure, and interactive analytics solutions.

Job Type: Contract/Remote/Full-Time/Long-term

Responsibilities:

• Develop end-to-end Power BI dashboards and reports - from data ingestion to final visualisation.
• Build and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), integrating data from various sources, including Snowflake and internal databases.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Design data models and DAX calculations optimised for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI Embedded features to ensure customised and secure access to data.
• Utilise Power BI REST APIs for automation, embedding, and lifecycle management (ALM).
• Understanding knowledge of Azure Security best practices (RBAC, identity management, data protection).
• Translate business requirements into effective reporting and data solutions.
• Enable ad hoc self-service analytics while maintaining enterprise reporting governance.
• Stay current with Power BI and Azure innovations, and integrate relevant features into our BI stack.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, support, and business stakeholders.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Power BI development and data visualisation.
• Expert-level SQL skills, strong ability to write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with ADF, Snowflake, and cloud-based data pipelines.
• Deep understanding of Power BI Embedded, REST APIs, and RLS.
• Proficiency in DAX, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud, including Azure Security, RBAC, and Managed Identities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Good to Have:

• Experience in the Apparel, Fashion, or E-commerce industries.
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD for Power BI deployments.

Compensation:

Salary Range: INR 15 LPA to INR 18 LPA (not a constraint for the right candidate)
