Application Development Manager – Salesforce with Java/.Net

About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

Minimum Qualifications:

17+ years of overall Salesforce experience including at least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.

As an experienced Application Development Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce solutions while leveraging your extensive background in managing Java and .NET development teams. You will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring technical excellence, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Salesforce development projects, including architecture, design, and implementation of custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Salesforce automation tools and integrations.
• Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams across Salesforce, Java, and .NET platforms, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers across technologies, fostering innovation and best practices.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multi-technology environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, code quality, and deployment practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory standards across all platforms.
• Facilitate integration between Salesforce and legacy systems built on Java and .NET, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience managing enterprise application development teams in Salesforce, Java, and .NET environments.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and custom connectors.
• Deep knowledge of Java and .NET frameworks, including Spring, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices across multiple technology stacks.

Salesforce Certifications (Preferred):

• Salesforce Platform Developer I
• Salesforce Platform Developer II
• Salesforce Platform App Builder
• Salesforce Platform Architect certification (If any)
