Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Google Apps Script Developer to design and implement a custom price comparison application within Google Sheets. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Apps Script, familiar with Google Workspace integrations, and experienced in developing automated workflows and data-driven tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a Google Apps Script solution to automate price comparison across multiple datasets in Google Sheets.
  • Create scripts to fetch, filter, and display the lowest-priced options based on multiple matching criteria (e.g., data limits, validity, country, vendor).
  • Automate data validation, error handling, and reporting within the Sheet.
  • Implement efficient and scalable logic for multi-row and multi-condition matching.
  • Build user-friendly interfaces (custom menus, sidebars, dialogs) for non-technical users.
  • Integrate with external APIs or Google services (e.g., Gmail, Drive) if needed.
  • Provide documentation and walkthrough of the developed solution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Google Apps Script (especially for Google Sheets).
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript and data manipulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet formula logic, filter functions, and regular expressions.
  • Experience working with lookup/match operations and handling large datasets.
  • Ability to translate business logic into efficient script-based automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills for requirement gathering and feedback loops.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with data visualization tools or dashboards inside Google Sheets.
  • Past projects involving price tracking, ecommerce, or telco services.
  • Familiarity with API integrations (e.g., fetching real-time pricing data).
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles for Google Sheets interfaces.
