About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Quality Assurance Engineer
with strong expertise in
manual testing
and foundational knowledge of
automation testing
. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality of web and mobile applications by creating test plans, executing test cases, reporting bugs, and supporting automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

● Understand project requirements, business use cases, and technical specifications.

● Design, write, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data for functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.

● Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and API applications to identify defects and usability issues.

● Log, track, and verify bugs in the bug-tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello).

● Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve defects and improve quality.

● Conduct smoke, regression, and sanity testing across different builds.

● Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

● Create and maintain testing documentation (test cases, test reports, defect logs).

● Work with the automation team to understand and run basic automation scripts (e.g., Selenium, Postman, or Cypress).

● Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

● 2–4 years of experience in Manual QA testing in the IT industry.

● Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

● Hands-on experience with test case design and execution.

● Experience with bug-tracking/project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana, etc.).

● Basic knowledge of automation testing frameworks/tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or similar).

● Familiarity with API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc.).

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

● Ability to work in Agile/Scrum methodology.
