Role Overview:
The First Mile HRBP Manager acts as a strategic partner to warehouse, logistics, and operations teams handling inbound supply chain functions ("first mile"). This role is responsible for aligning people strategies with business goals to drive operational excellence, employee engagement, and compliance across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business leaders to forecast workforce requirements, design staffing models, and lead hiring for first mile operations.
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary issues.
Coach and support line managers on performance management, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.-
Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture-building programs tailored to logistics/frontline teams.
Facilitate HR processes including payroll, attendance, leave, statutory compliance, and HRIS management for all first mile sites.
Identify and address trends in attrition, absenteeism, and conduct proactive interventions.
Support continuous improvement in HR policies, onboarding, safety, welfare, and workplace practices across locations.-
Ensure effective implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in warehouse and transportation networks.
Analyze HR metrics and share business insights to improve productivity and strengthen organizational capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
MBA/PGDM in HR or related field.
3+ years in HR, with at least 2+ years as an HRBP, ideally in logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, or supply chain.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and operational HR in distributed or large-format sites.-
Ability to coach frontline managers, solve business problems, and influence through data and relationship-building.
Experience in managing scale, change, and high-volume blue-collar/field workforce.
