Role & responsibilities

  • Design Creation: Conceptualize, sketch, and develop original and innovative textile designs, patterns, and prints for various products and applications.
  • Digital Design: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed digital artwork, technical drawings, and prepare specifications for production.
  • Trend Research: Stay updated on current fashion and textile trends, consumer preferences, and emerging materials and technologies to create competitive and desirable designs.
  • Material & Color Selection: Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and colors to meet design and production requirements, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product developers, manufacturers, sourcing, and marketing teams, to translate design concepts into viable products.
  • Production Oversight: Monitor the textile production process, review fabric samples, and resolve any design-related issues to ensure the final product meets both functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Meet with clients and stakeholders to understand design requirements and present design concepts and prototypes for feedback and approval.

Portfolio Management: Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of completed designs and projects to showcase creative and innovative work.
