Head of eMobility- Region India

Opportunity to lead the Region India eMobility business – a fastest growing business within Smart Infrastructure – delivering high impact in an electrification transformation within India and abroad. India is one of the three (3) global regions of eMobility Global business; others are North America and European Union.

Broad Responsibility in Brief:

You will be responsible for leading entire end-to-end eMobility business for region India. Complete P&L responsibility with entire local R&D, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing, and After-sales services reporting into you. You would be responsible & accountable for (but not limited to)

General management:

  • Represent eMobility internally (to other Siemens units) and externally (e.g. customers, ecosystem partners, authorities)
  • Lead the entire value-chain for eMobility business for Region India; Manage independently driven local functional teams of R&D, PLM, Manufacturing and Customer Services to have a cohesive business execution
  • Accountable for reaching annual sales, revenue and profit targets
  • Implements strategic business guidelines, agrees on and ensures implementation of operational and regional strategy for the eMobility India Business Unit
  • Ensures development of business plans and ensures effective controlling of the target setting processes, Business Target Agreements (BTAs), and quarterly & monthly business reviews with Global and Local management

Business & Portfolio growth:

  • Full P&L responsibility
  • Ensure market leadership and fast-growth in DC-fast charger business within India
  • Identify and engage across various levels within organization of key customers (e.g. CxOs, Head of Projects, Head of Operations, Head of Procurement)
  • Define, develop and implement the Go-to-market strategies through various partnerships, collaborations across Industry
  • Lead thought-leadership in the eMobility ecosystem by actively participating in various Industry forums and industry bodies
  • Ensure continuous analyses and design of strategic positioning of the business overall and work closely with Global and Country management on long term development of the product, service or solutions portfolio.
  • May initiate strategic initiatives of external growth, and initiates, steers or coordinates respective M&A projects, in defined businesses, markets or regions.
  • Drive Siemens' ONE TECH approach for accelerating the growth in focused areas in adjacent areas of grid connection, digital software for energy management, integration with various portfolio from Building vertical

People management:

  • Continue the critical cultural integration of recently acquired local company team into larger Siemens/ MNC culture without losing the agility, cost-advantage and innovative approach
  • Develop a culture of high-performance, diverse, and inclusive team across eMobility business in India. Develop robust succession plans, and foster employee-oriented initiatives to build an inspiring work environment.

Your defining qualities:

  • An Individual with demonstrated ability of Growth-mindset, clear customer-centric attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to ideate, plan and execute multiple parallel strategies to explore various growth paths
  • Educational background: Degree in Electrical/ Electronic engineering or related field
  • P&L responsibility and/ or leadership experience in MNC company
  • Significant industrial experience to work in MNC organization with multiple stake-holder management including atleast few years of people management role; experience in manufacturing-led business will be an advantage
  • Experience in eMobility, New Energies, Automotive Industry, startup will be a clear advantage
