Job Title: Accountant – Solar Panel Industry

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Head

Job Overview: The Account Executive will handle day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records, manage vendor and client payments, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements in the solar industry.

The role supports project accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting to ensure smooth financial management of solar projects.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Daily Accounting Operations o Record and maintain all accounting transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments). o Manage accounts payable and receivable with accuracy. o Prepare and post journal entries in Tally or ERP software.

  1. Billing & Invoicing o Prepare GST-compliant invoices for solar projects and material sales. o Verify vendor bills and ensure timely payment processing. o Maintain records of advances, credit notes, and debit notes.

  2. Banking & Reconciliation o Handle bank transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliations. o Manage petty cash and cash flow statements.

  3. Taxation & Compliance o Ensure accurate GST, TDS, and other statutory filings. o Support CA or auditors during internal and external audits. o Maintain compliance with government regulations relevant to the solar industry.

  4. Project & Cost Accounting o Track project-wise expenses and revenues. o Support project managers with cost estimation and budget tracking. o Maintain asset registers for solar installations and equipment.

  5. Reporting o Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and expense summaries. o Provide timely data for management review and decision-making.

Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST compliance.

Proficiency in Tally ERP or similar accounting software.

Good Excel and MS Office skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Ability to manage multiple project accounts simultaneously.

Qualification & Experience: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification. 5 -6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in solar industry. Working knowledge of project-based accounting and taxation.
