Job Description - Business Central Finance Consultant (7-10 Years Experience)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Central Finance Consultant with 7-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, specifically within the Finance module. This role requires strong functional expertise, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Business Central Finance implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Conduct detailed requirement-gathering sessions with finance stakeholders.
  • Translate business processes into comprehensive Functional Design Documents (FDDs).

  • Configure Business Central Finance modules including:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • Collaborate with technical/development teams to ensure accurate interpretation of functional specifications.
  • Design and execute test cases for SIT and UAT cycles.
  • Provide user training, go-live support, and post-implementation assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to Finance.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to accounting standards and internal control requirements.
  • Participate in data migration, validation, and integration activities.

Must-Have Skills

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience as a Business Central Finance Consultant.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - Finance module.
  • Deep understanding of finance processes and core accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in creating clear, detailed FDDs.
  • Strong capability in designing and executing functional test cases.
  • Experience in configuring key Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with AL language, extensions, or basic understanding of technical components.
  • Experience with data migration tools and integration frameworks.
  • Microsoft certifications in Business Central or Finance.
  • Exposure to other D365 modules or ERP systems.
  • Experience conducting end-user training and creating training documents.
